QGC said it spudded the Isabella-1 well in ATP 648P and the Codie-12 well in ATP 620P on June 6.
The Codie-12 well is part of an ongoing appraisal drilling program and will access the Juandah and Taroom coal measures for immediate production testing, the company said.
In ATP 648P, the Des Caling Rig 2 is conducting the second of three drill stem tests on Isabella-1, to evaluate the permeability of the Juandah and Taroom coal measures.
According to QGC, Isabella-1 intersected 32.5m of coal in the Juandah and Taroom coal measures, and the Tangalooma sandstone.
Also in ATP 648P, the company has suspended the Glendower-1 well for possible conversion to a monitoring well.
Glendower-1 reached a total depth of 726m after intersecting 22.1m of coal in the Juandah and Taroom coal measures, and the Tangalooma sandstone.
Meanwhile at the Berwyndale South field in PL 201, OGC spudded the Berwyndale South-7 well on June 7.
QGC said the well is designed to collect coal and shale samples from two coal measures as well as allow permeability and stress testing.
QGC holds a 55% interest in ATP 648P, a 47.5% in ATP 620P and an 80% interest in PL 201.
