The well, which was spudded in late February, measured a gas-oil ratio of 230 cubic feet:bbl, with water cut of about 1%.
According to Lion, the drilling rig was released from the well on May 9 to drill the Neif Utara A-2 from the same location.
Neif Utara A-2 is a deviated well and is drilling to penetrate the water contact to assist in reserves evaluation of the Neif Utara A structure.
According to Lion, the Neif Utara A prospect is an elongated thrust and reverse fault controlled four-way dip closed anticline, at the southeast end of the Oseil high trend, along the Oseil East Neif anticlinorium.
The primary target, the Manusela Carbonate, is interpreted to be similar in reservoir characteristics to the nearby Oseil oil field, which is producing around 4000bopd.
Currently the well is drilling to a planned depth of 600 feet, at which production casing will be set.
The Seram (Non Bula) block is Lion's sole petroleum asset after it sold out of five leases in the Gulf of Mexico in November.
The company is the smallest stakeholder in the block with a 2.5% interest. Operator CITIC Seram Energy has 51%, Kufpec has 30% and Gulf Petroleum Investment has 16.5%.
