The company has started drilling the Azure-2 and Azure-6 core wells to characterise the extent of the coal and the coal seam methane resource potential within ATP 817P.

The wells target the potentially thick and continuous Permian Bandanna coals on the Springsure Shelf that produce CSM in the nearby Fairview and Spring Gully fields operated by Santos and Origin Energy respectively.

Azure-1 was designed as a stratigraphic test well and intersected 4.9m of gas-bearing Bandanna Formation coal during drilling.
