Arc drops Yulleroo-2 DST

The company had decided to carry out the test after the equivalent gas sands to those encountered in Yulleroo-1 were intersected and appeared to have good hole conditions suitable for an open hole DST to be run to determine potential flow rates.

Arc said the well will now be drilled ahead to the secondary objectives of the Laurel and Famennian limestone sections. Planned total depth has been revised to 3740m.

Once this is completed, a decision will be made on whether to run a liner to test the Tournasian gas sands and any other potential reservoirs that are encountered.

Yulleroo-2 is the final well in the company's Canning Basin exploration program.

It targets 474-928 billion cubic feet of gas and is aimed at providing a definitive evaluation of the Yulleroo-1 gas flows to enable a better estimate of potential gas reserves and commerciality of the Yulleroo structure.
