Roc, as operator, is drilling the well to a total depth of 1640m as a follow-up to last year's Dunsborough-1 well, located 2km north.

The Premium Wilcraft rig has just finished-up at Frankland-2, which encountered gas in the target sands but was abandoned due to poor reservoir quality.

Joining Roc, as operator with a 37.5% stake in WA-286P, is Arc Energy (30%), AWE Oil (27.5%), CIECO Exploration & Production (5%).
