Red Fork spuds second Oklahoma well

Drilling of the Redfork 5-29 well started on Wednesday and will continue to a total depth of 1500 feet to test all potential pay zones, including all the known coals.

Total depth is expected on the weekend, after which Red Fork will complete a full suite of logs including dual induction, compensated density-neutron and micro log.

Casing will be set through all potentially productive intervals and cemented so that each zone can be isolated for testing.

The program’s first well, Redfork 3-29, encountered gas shows in at least three known coal sections.

Red Fork has contracted to drill a further three wells over the rest of this month and into early January.

Following the earlier $AA10 million placement, Red Fork says it is now fully funded to pursue the ongoing development of its rapidly growing coal seam methane, shale gas, and conventional oil and gas holdings in Oklahoma.
