Gas shows at Arc, Origin well

In a drilling report, operator Arc said the target Dongara Sandstone had been intersected at a depth of 2756 metres, about 7m higher than in the original discovery well.

Gas shows were encountered over the interval 2757-2781m.

Arc said it was preparing to run completion casing over the well, drilled as a deviated sidetrack of the Apium-1 discovery well that flowed gas to surface at varying pressures and rates in June 2004.

Arc and Origin hold equal stakes in the L1 licence and Apium-2 well.
