FAR said electric logs and side wall cores indicated the SL-329-9 well had intersected 13 feet of pay in the Upper and 29 feet in the Middle Hollywood Sands.
These pay intervals are now behind pipe allowing for future production.
Yesterday the well had reached a vertical depth of 12,427 feet (3787m), where drilling was continuing towards the Lower Hollywood target.
The multi-pay Hollywood Sands objectives, lying between 11,800 feet and a total depth of 13,567 feet, are estimated to contain 21.7 billion cubic feet of gas and 760,000 barrels of condensate.
Additional potential is thought to exist in offset fault blocks of 28.7Bcf and 1 million barrels.
The prospect is supported by a combination of 3D seismic and subsurface well control tied into FAR’s successful SL 328-1 well, which was drilled in 2004 and came online at 5.6MMcf of gas per day and 301bopd.
The well is still producing at a daily rate of 3.6MMcf of gas and 60bbl of oil.
