Harriet JV spuds new Bambra well

The Bambra-8H/8H L1 well, which is being drilled from the Harriet Bravo platform, will be completed as a long-reach, dual lateral horizontal oil producing well.

The well is similar in design to the earlier Bambra-7H and 7H L1 horizontal wells to the north.

The aim is to develop a 6m oil column in the south-central portion of the field.

Production is expected to start in late July or early August at about 25-30 million cubic feet of gas per day, with oil production to follow.

This morning, the well was at a depth of 90m.

Drilling of Bambra-8H will continue to a measured depth of 6000m, where sidetracking of the second lateral, Bambra-8H1, will take place.

The well is expected to reach a total depth of 6670m in 17 days.

The Harriet joint venture stakeholders are Apache (operator – 68.5%), Kufpec, with 19.2771%, and Tap Oil with 12.2229%.
