Cooper Oil Project rolls out new producers

At Tintaburra, junior partner Drillsearch Energy said two new wells, Mulberry-30 and Mulberry-42, have been cased and suspended for future production.

However, Mulberry-45 was plugged and abandoned after encountering a poor reservoir and no oil shows.

Santos is currently preparing to spud Huckleberry-2.

Drillsearch said the PDI-724 rig has moved from the Tintaburra block to begin drilling at ATP25P’s Naccowlah block, in which it holds a 2% stake.

Only the PDI-735 rig remains drilling at the Tintaburra block.

Meanwhile at the Nockatunga arm, partner Magellan Petroleum said the Muthero-6 appraisal well was also being cased and suspended as a future oil producer. It said oil shows were recorded in the Coorikiana Sandstone, Murta Member and the Birkhead Formation.

Santos holds a 61.006% stake in Nockatunga (Magellan owns 38.994%) and 89% of Tintaburra (Drillsearch owns 10% and CPC Energy 1%).
