The Perth-based company yesterday said the well has intersected the target Arranoo gas sand interval about 3m high to prognosis and preliminary information suggests the target sands are gas-saturated, as expected.
Dongara-37, about 7km east of the Dongara township is targeting the Early Triassic Arranoo Member of the Kockatea Shale.
Dongara-37 is a dual-lateral gas development well designed to penetrate a structurally high point in the North Block of the Dongara field.
Arc said the operation is now drilling the second lateral to enhance the intersection with the reservoirs and as of yesterday, the Century Rig 18 was drilling ahead at 1603m.
The company now plans to complete the well as a barefoot multi-lateral production well, similar to Dongara-36. Arc said it would also test the well before putting it on production via flow lines to the Dongara Production Facility.
After Dongara-37, Arc’s other wells to be drilled are Eremia-7 – a follow-up to the successful Eremia-6 development well – as well as the Drakea and Beharra Springs Deep wildcats, and the Beharra Springs-4 appraisal well.
Arc owns 100% of Dongara-37.
