Bow to spud Banff-1

The well is expected to take 12 days to reach a total depth of 1650m. The top of the primary objective Hutton Sandstone, which is estimated to contain up to a potential 34 million barrels (MMbbl) of oil, is expected to be penetrated seven days after spudding.

Banff-1 is also testing a structural trend with prospects having the potential to contain up to 90MMbbl of recoverable oil.

The well was originally due to spud in July but was delayed due to heavy rainfall.
