The well, which was drilling ahead at a depth of 2706m on Tuesday morning, will now be completed with production tubing string before a production test is undertaken to determine its commerciality.
In the past week, the cement plug was drilled out from a depth of between 2661m and 2672m and a new sidetrack was successfully kicked off at 2672m. Earlier operational difficulties due to drill pipe scale have been overcome, allowing drilling to resume.
Looking ahead, the company plans to continue drilling on an angle in the main gas/condensate reservoir section.
Once operations at Waggamba-1H are complete, the Ensign Rig 5 will be used for working over other
Mosaic-operated wells in the Silver Springs-Waggamba area before spudding the Fairymount-7H oil well in the last week of August.
Mosaic is operator and holds a 100% stake in this well and the Waggamba gas condensate field.
