Stuart P&As Light Fingers

COOPER Basin operator Stuart Petroleum is plugging and abandoning its Light Fingers-1 exploration well in PEL 113, after 25 barrels of water were recovered during a drill stem test in the McKinlay Formation at a depth of 1281-1294m.

Before drilling, the company said it believed the well, which reached a total depth of 1645m, had a good chance of success.

The well was funded by Canadian-based Avery Resources Calgary Canada under a farm-in agreement to earn a 35% interest the PEL 113 Murteree Farm-out Block. Stuart holds a 100% interest in the remainder of the permit.
