Advance says its operations manager North American Energy has now cased the well with 4½-inch production pipe set at 10,230ft.
NAE and well operator Endeavor Energy Resources are currently designing and scheduling the completion program to consist of multiple stage hydraulic fracture treatments.
The well is expected to be online and producing by September 1, said Advance, which holds a 12.5% working interest in the Martin County project.
Strain 16-2 is a direct offset from the Strain 16-1, which came on production with an initial daily potential of 150 barrels of oil and 200 million cubic feet of gas. This was the discovery well for the Totem Prospect, which NAE identified using the Motherlode 3D seismic data.
