Operator Origin Energy will use Arc’s Century Rig 18 to drill the well.

After Jingemia-8, the rig will be reassigned to Arc to drill the Hovea-12 development well and then, if approved by the JV, the Eremia-5 development well, after which the onshore exploration program will restart.

Arc has a 44.141% interest in Jingemia (L14) and a 50% interest in Hovea (L1/L2).

Meanwhile in the Canning Basin, Arc says it is currently collating data and finalising agreements.

In addition, the Department of Industry and Resources has approved the company’s applications for special prospecting authorities, with work on these areas to begin soon.

Arc says it has also started initial preparations for the 2007 drilling program.

The company has a 6% interest in the Cliff Head Oil Field, which is currently producing 12,000 barrels of oil per day.
