Jingemia-10 finds oil, nearly complete

THE Jingemia-10 oil appraisal and development wellin the Perth Basin permit L14 is almost ready for production with operator Origin Energy saying it is preparing to run 178mm casing this morning.

Drilled to a total depth of 2587 metres, the well will connect to the Jingemia production facility 760 metres away once the running of casing is complete and the drilling rig has been moved away.

Wireline logs indicate a similar oil saturation to Jingemia-4 throughout the target Dongara Sandstone, which was intersected at a 2458.5 metre measured depth and about 40 metres above the presumed field oil-water contact.

The Dongara Sandstone is 34.5 metres thick at Jingemia-10 and shows good quality oil present throughout the interval, according to Origin.

Participants in L14 and Jingemia-10 are: Origin Energy (operator – 49%); ARC Energy (33%); Voyager (11%); Victoria Petroleum Offshore (5%); Norwest Energy (1.3%); Roc Oil (0.25%) and JK Geary (0.14%).
