Stena Clyde steams back down under

Puffin is being appraised by newly-listed AED Oil, whose sole asset is the AC-P-22 field.

Also planned for the Stena Clyde when in Australia is the drilling of the wildcat Fairfield Central-1.

The Stena Clyde is a self-propelled semi-submersible, twin pontoon, column stabilised drilling unit, based on an Aker H3 design.

It has been modified with an additional 6 stability columns to provide adequate operating deck load for operations in 500m (1640ft) water depths. The Stena Clyde has a SBOP capability for a water depth of 5,000ft and a 108 man accommodation capacity.

Hugh Mackay of the Peak Group in Perth is handling logistics for the rig while it is here on contract.
