Stuart spuds Baystone

They said the well would be drilled to a total depth of 2500 metres by Century Rig 3. It is targeting a p50 target of 2.3 million barrels.

“A number of petroleum discoveries have been made in the immediate area of Baystone-1,” said Stuart managing director Tino Guglielmo.

"To the east, near the Sout Australian/Queensland border is the Acrasia Oil Field, discovered by Stuart and Mawson. West of Acrasia is the Reg Sprigg oil and gas field discovered by the Santos Joint Venture.

“Further west is the Reg Sprigg West oil and gas discovery owned by the Santos Joint Venture and the PEL 90 Candra Joint Venture (Stuart/Mawson).”

Interests are Stuart Petroleum (75%,operator) and Beach Petroleum (25%).
