Tomahawk spuds second Snell Heirs well for the year

The Snell Heirs 1-17 has been spudded and is expected to reach it proposed total depth of approximately 4,000 feet within the next 10 days.

It is the second of a 20 to 25 well program scheduled in the next 12 months and follows the successful program in 2004 where the 8 wells drilled were all discoveries.

Tomahawk said the first well for the year and the ninth in the overall program, the Snell Heirs 4-18 was completed last week and encountered gas shows in several of the secondary objectives and had significant gas shows in the primary objectives, the Mississippian Caney and Woodford Shales.

Electric logging of this well has begun to evaluate the significance of the hydrocarbon shows and the results are expected to be released within the week.
