DRILLING

Tintaburra program to commence

SANTOS and junior partner Drillsearch have spudded the Jackson-44 well, the final well before the Tintaburra block exploration program will start.

Drillsearch said Jackson-44 was drilling ahead after having set casing at 300 metres and was targeting the Murta oil formation. Partners are Santos (55%), Gradav (32%), Beach Petroleum (6.5%), Drillsearch 2%, Inland Oil (2%), Energy World Corporation (2%).

Following Jackson-44 Santos was planning to spud the Mulberry-2 and 3 wells, as part of the Tintaburra block exploration program. Drillsearch has a 10% interest in the Tintaburra Block.

Also planned was the deepening of three existing producing wells, which are currently open hole completions - casing and fraccing those wells to access proved oil in two zones. One of these wells, Ipundu North 4, will be further deepened as a Hutton exploration well.

Drillsearch said it hoped the nine well program would provide additional incremental oil production and 1P reserves. Interests are Santos (89%), Drillsearch (10%), CBC Energy 1%.
