Tiof-6 goes to plan as Hardman’s new CEO draws near

Acting CEO Scott Spencer said that the rig would move to the Chinguetti field to keep the development drilling – a major priority for the company – on schedule.

He said it was interpreted no gas or water leg had been intersected by the well with there being several good quality sands of varying thickness which would be flow tested.

The drill ship West Navigator would return to test Tiof-6 when the Chinguetti program allowed it, as the partners were running two rigs simultaneously in order to maximise the operational efficiencies. This often meant reprioritising drilling schedules at short notice.

Spencer also revealed an announcement for the replacement for former managing director Ted Ellyard was not far away but would only repeat the previously stated timetable of early in the New Year.

“It is still our intention to announce the appointment of the new CEO early in the New Year,” Spencer told EnergyReview.net yesterday.
