DRILLING

Tomahawk keeps swinging in U.S.

TOMAHAWK Energy has maintained its strong momentum in its five-well Oklahoma drilling project with logs from the third well – Snell Heirs 8-13 – indicating oil and gas in both the primary and secondary targets. It has also just spudded its fourth well.

The logs have indicated 89 feet of gross hydrocarbons over seven formations in the secondary objectives.

The first two wells – Snell Heirs 6-13 and Snell Heirs 7-13 – are producing gas while continuing to clean out frac material. The fourth well – Snell Heirs 2-19 – has been spudded and is expected to reach its proposed total depth of 4100 feet in the next five to eight days. The fifth well is scheduled to be completed this calendar year.

Tomahawk shares have surged on these results.

The company is aiming to become a significant player in US gas exploration and production, said chairman Tony Brennan.

Tomahawk intends to develop a significant portfolio of producing oil and gas wells that were inexpensive to complete by industry standards, had short payback periods and generated substantial revenue, Brennan said.
