On completion of the coring program, the well will be drilled to the top of the Basement section (at approximately 2,285m) and wireline logs will be run to evaluate the hydrocarbon potential in the Qishn interval.
Following the wireline logging program, the 9-5/8 inch casing will be set and the well deepened to TD of 2,400m to test the potential of the Basement interval.
Located in Yemen Nabrajah-2 is the first well in a two well back-to-back appraisal drilling program to be conducted in order to determine the size and commercial viability of the Nabrajah discovery. The Nabrajah-2 well is located one kilometre northwest of the Nabrajah-1 well.
The participants in this well are DNO ASA 56.67%, Oil Search (Yemen) 28.33% and the Yemen Company 15%, carried.
