Magellan looks at Noarlunga-1 to end dry run

Noarlunga-1 is located approximately 80km southeast of Moomba and about 14km southeast of the Aldinga-1 oil well. The primary targets of the well, the Murta Formation and the Namur Sandstone are expected to be intersected late this week, while drilling is currently in the Winton Formation.

The well is part of an eight well program for Magellan that began with the dry Palm Valley-11 in the Northern Territory's Amadeus Basin.

Participants in the Noarlunga-1 well are Beach Petroleum (Operator) 50% and Magellan Petroleum (N.T.) 50%.
