The well reach total depth of 1427m and encountered the oil show in the Birkhead Formation in the interval 1243 to1252m. The joint venture has now elected to undertake drill stem testing (DST).
Drillsearch Energy is very encouraged by the results so far of this 3 rd well in its 4 well program.
The well is located in the Cooper/Eromanga Basin 2.5 kms south/west of the Gimboola oil facility and some 126km north/east of Jackson oil facility.
Interests in the venture include Santos 89%, Drillsearch Energy 10%, CPC Energy 1%.
