In exploration news, Amadeus said it was moving a rig on site to test a high potential gas well in Lavaca County, Texas. It is the second of several such targets, the first being the unsuccessful Mattern GU#1, which yielded gas but at non-commercial rates.
It is anticipated that the Scheinemann South-1 well will be drilled to a target depth of 11,200 feet, which should take 25-27 days. The rig will then be moved to the Trio Gerdes-1 location. Amadeus has a 25% stake in the well.
