No mucking about with Muggles

It will be drilled prior to the Vesta well, located in permit WA-261-P, which lies some 70 kilometres southwest of the Muggles location.

The joint venture partners had been forced to re-organise their drilling program due to ongoing changes in well scheduling with Apache's (operator) contracted Ensco-56 rig.

The Muggles Prospect is an M australis stratigraphic pinchout trap at 1300 metres subsea depth within a Cretaceous channel on the Enderby Terrace.

Prospect potential ranges in size from 33.5 (mean) to 83.1 (P10) million barrels of oil recoverable. If drilling is successful the discovery could be tied back to the Legendre Oil Field, lying 10 kilometres to the northwest.

The Vesta Prospect is a shallow buttress-stratigraphic trap lying west southwest of the Stag Oilfield. The C halosa sand of the Athol Formation is targeted in the trap with the prospect potential ranging in size from 11.5 (mean) to 23.2 (P10) million barrels of oil recoverable.

Participants in Muggles are Sun Resources NL 10.3895%, Apache Northwest 69.7305% (Operator), First Australian Resources 10.7143%, Victoria Petroleum 6.1743%, Pan Pacific Petroleum 2.9914%.
