The Perth-based firm intends to schedule an exploration, appraisal and production testing program in both Australia and America.
In a press release, the company stated, “[The] testing program [will begin] over the next three months with the drilling of one well in the offshore Carnarvon Basin with Apache Energy, one development well in the Perth Basin with Origin Energy and the commencement of the first of five wells in the South Australian Cooper Basin.”
“The active exploration program will continue over the following six months with up to a further 10 wells to be drilled for a total of 14 wells over the next nine months,” added the company. The program will encompass other wells in the Cooper, Carnarvon and Perth Basins, as well the Surat Basin and wells in both California and Wyoming.
The schedule is subject to change, however, with the drilling of each well (and the company’s interest in them) subject to “rig, lease availability and farmout and government approval to drill”.
