The Quandong-1 well in WA-202-P is set to commence between April 18-30 due to the success Apache encountered in other exploration areas. The Bloodwell-1 well has been postponed until the Ensco 56 rig returns from Singapore in mid-late July.
As for the New Zealand campaign, the spudding of Huinga-1B in the Taranaki Basin looks set for early-mid April because of rig delays associated with the Makino-1 well.
"Whilst drilling delays are unfortunate, they are commonplace in the oil and gas exploration business," said managing director of AWE, Mr Bruce Phillips.
