Rig arrives on offshore WA location: Roc Oil

Junior explorer Roc Oil, operator of the WA-286P Joint Venture, said that the Ensco 53 jackup drilling rig arrived at the Cliff Head-3 appraisal well location last night.

Roc said the rig was waiting on weather to jack up prior to drilling. It is expected jack up should occur early tomorrow. Cliff Head-3 will be drilled on the same structure as Cliff Head-1 and Cliff Head-2 which intersected oil offshore Perth Basin late 2001/ early 2002.

The WA-286-P Joint Venture comprises of Norwest Energy NL 5% , Roc Oil Operator 30.0%, Australian Worldwide Exploration 27.5%, Wandoo Petroleum 25.0%, ARC Energy NL 7.5% and Voyager Energy Limited 5.0%.
