Woodside keeps up GoM drilling

The Kansas-1 well, in the Atwater Valley 489 block where Woodside has a 16.66% interest, was plugged and abandoned at a depth of 18,170ft. It said further drilling would be required to fully evaluate the prospect.

In the nearby block 537 of the Atwater Valley region, Woodside also announced the spudding of the Neptune-4 appraisal well, in which it has a 20% interest.

The recent Neptune-3 well encountered two reservoirs totalling 150 feet of net oil pay over a 450 feet gross column in water over 6000 feet deep.
