DRILLING

Red Creek well spuds: Amadeus

Energy hopeful Amadeus Energy said drilling of a step-out well at its part-owned Red Creek Prospect in Okalahoma has began.

The Perth-based company said the Rash Barrett "A" No.24 well has been spudded and as of yesterday was at a depth of 220 feet with a target depth of 2700 ft.

Operator Trio Operating Inc is drilling the well in which Amadeus has a 50% stake. The step-out well is a follow up on the successful Rash Barret 24-1 well.

Amadeus said it expects to drill up to five locations on the Red Creek by June.
