In addition, the company said a second drilling rig located on the Gocerler-5 development well site is anticipated to commence drilling in the next ten days.

The Gocerler-4 well is located in the south eastern sector of the Gocerler gas field and Gocerler-5 is located in the north eastern sector.

Amity said the wells have been positioned with the benefit of the high quality 3D seismic acquired over the field late last year, and are designed to further evaluate the dimensions of the Gocerler field and potentially increase existing gas production.

Both exploration wells are vertical with proposed total depths of 1450 metres. Each well is budgeted to take 10 days to drill to proposed total depth, with total time to rig release estimated at 16 days (trouble free), Amity said.

The Gocerler gas field is operated by Amity and owned by Amity (50%) and Turkiye Petrolleri AO (50%).
