DRILLING

Encouraging signs for Yesiltepe

Shareholders who hung in during the Amity Oil's recent stock fluctuations look to have been rewarded with some encouraging flows from the Yesiltepe well in Turkey.

The well flowed between 2.4 and 3.3 million cubic feet of gas per day over a range of choke sizes, ranging from 26/64" to 32/64" chokes.

Some small amounts of condensate were detected, through an orange flame at the flaring operations.

Amity said the test was performed over a thin interval between 1157 and 1165 metres. It was now planning to pressure test the zone.

The Amity share price fluctuated during early reports that the well was not as straightforward as first thought but has recovered to be trading at $1.11 at press time. It sunk to $1.04 last week after pushing to $1.40 earlier during the drilling.
