Woodside plugs Carnarvon Basin, GoM wells

Woodside has plugged and abandoned two unsuccessful wells this week, one in the Carnarvon Basin and one of the Gulf of Mexico.

The Tigger-1 well, (Woodside 45%, Kufpec 35%, Japan Australia LNG 20%), was plugged and abandoned after reaching the target depth of 3650 metres.

Also unsuccessful was the Bison-1 wildcat, drilled on a 50% basis with Pioneer Natural Resources of the US. It was drilled to 6,650 feet in the Mustang Island Block A 81 permit. Woodside said no further operations on the well were being contemplated.
