Carrickalinga spuds in the Cooper

The third well in the Beach Petroleum/Great Artesian Oil and Gas program in the Cooper Eromanga Basin was spudded yesterday with the Carrickalinga-1 hole targetting a small pool east of the recent Sellicks discovery.

The 2700 metre well will take around 16 days to reach the planned total depth, and has a potential highside recoverable reserve of 1.2mmbo (potential mean of 600,000 bbls) in the Hutton Sandstone and Patchawarra Formation.

Beach (40%) is operating PEL-91 on behalf of Great Artesian (60%).
