Arrow gets big 2P reserves boost

It is the first of four fields scheduled for additional reserves certification this year.

The Brisbane-based company today said its total net 2P reserves have jumped from 498 petajoules to 719PJ.

Arrow said MHA Petroleum Consultants of Colorado upgraded reserves on Daandine by 221PJ, a rise from 25PJ to 246PJ.

Of the current balance of 2P reserves in the field, 129PJ are in permit PL 230, while 117PJ are in ATP 790.

Arrow had previously targeted a 2P reserves increase of 150PJ from Daandine during 2007.

Arrow’s new current gas reserves position, net to Arrow, is 86PJ of 1P reserves, 719PJ of 2P reserves and 2760PJ of 3P reserves.

The company said its net interest in the field’s reserves is likely be reduced following completion of the farm-in arrangements with Swedish energy company EIG Energy Infrastructure Group AB, which was announced last month.

Arrow is targeting net 2P reserves increases of 350PJ at Bowen Basin, 60PJ at Meenawarra and 90PJ at Tipton.

The Daandine field is Arrow’s third producing project, behind Moranbah and Kogarah North.
