The Brisbane-based company this morning said the pilot and core hole drilling program continued to deliver very promising results, in line with expectations.
As drilling progresses, the company continues to gather essential data for reserves certification, managing director Tony Gilby said.
“The core holes are establishing the lateral extent and thickness of the target coal seams in the Lacerta gas field area,” Gilby said.
“We are expecting dewatering activities to ramp up significantly over the coming weeks.”
Downhole pressure sensors are currently being installed in Lacerta pilot wells 5, 6, 7 and 8. Once this is complete, pump rates will be increased in all wells to start the dewatering process.
The purpose of the $5.37 million, 26-well work program is to move the Lacerta project towards proved and probable (2P) reserves to support commercial gas supply contracts.
