Titled An Integrated Coalbed Methane Exploration Model: Defining Coalbed Methane Exploration Sweetspots it will be hosted by Altuda Geological Consulting president Andrew Scott.
Primarily designed for geologists, hydrologists, geophysicists, and petroleum engineers, who wish to expand their knowledge of CBM and to review the latest technologies applicable to CBM E&P, it is also useful for anyone interested in the latest CBM strategies.
The seminar will also cover the fundamentals of CBM but will focus primarily on techniques used to “develop and evaluate coalbed methane prospects and to delineate basin sweetspots” and provide detailed information on the matter for those already familiar with CBM.
Topics covered include coal depositional systems, tectonic and structural setting, gas content distribution, hydrogeology, resource & reserve calculations, and much, much more.
The cost for attendees is: A$400 for PESA members, A$300 for non-members and A$100 for student members. The price of admission includes a luncheon meeting on Tuesday.
