Mission added the project will start shipping biodiesel by the end of September.
The company said this was owing to unexpected delays in routine final inspections by balance of plant equipment suppliers and the Malaysian fire, as well as safety and health authorities.
Mission had said on July 18 this year the plant would start shipping its first cargo of biodiesel by the end of August.
All balance of plant works and supplies are online and inspection dates with the authorities have been scheduled.
The company has already been awarded an engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning contract for its 250,000tpa expansion plant to Malaysia's KNM Process Systems.
The plant will be located on a 24,000 square metre site adjacent to the existing plant.
Mission aims to export biodiesel to Europe from its Malaysian plant, which leaves the company unaffected by the Australian Fuel Tax Bill despite its Australian Stock Exchange listing.
