AGL steps into Sole

DAVID Maxwell's pivot of Cooper Energy from Cooper Basin oiler to Gippsland Basin gas producer has just passed another critical milestone, with AGL Energy signing a binding heads of agreement for up to 6.6 petajoules of gas per annum from the Sole and Manta gas developments.

It follows an earlier agreement with O-I Australia for 10PJpa. The deals mean Cooper has contacted some 73PJ, around 60% of its equity gas from the Sole field and with the first commercial agreement...
