Chevron locks in gas finds

CHEVRON Corporation has been granted new retention leases over the Brederode, Eendracht, Kentish Knock gas fields and leases next to the Scarborough and Thebe fields in the Carnarvon Basin, giving the US oiler another five years to prove up their viability.

Eendracht-1 was drilled in 1980 and sits immediately east of Woodside Petroleum's proposed Claudius hub in WA-434-P, west of Scarborough and Thebe. The well was drilled in a water depth of 1354m and...
