Linc hit by fake claim

LINC Energy has again tried to draw attention to its holdings in South Australia's frontier Arckaringa Basin, where it now claims to have a potential unrisked unconventional prospective resource of an astonishing 256 billion barrels, however, the news appears to have been pre-empted by a malicious press release suggesting the asset were being sold.

A release on the Businesswire service, and carried by Reuters, claimed the company had agreed to sell its SA assets before Christmas to an undisclosed local Australian company with Asian financial backing...
