Chevron defends tax legacy

CHEVRON Corporation has confirmed it will appeal a Federal Court order last month to pay over $300 million in unpaid taxes and fines just as managing director Roy Krzywosinski – along with executives from Santos, Origin Energy, Woodside Petroleum, ExxonMobil and Shell – fronts a public hearing in Sydney today as part of a Senate probe into tax avoidance.
