Americans swallow up Greater McArthur Basin

CHESAPEAKE Energy founder Aubrey McClendon's American Energy Partners has signed a non-binding letter of intent for $US100 million ($A135 million) for a 75% working interest of Armour Energy's permits, just days after neighbours Pangaea Resources and Empire Energy Group entered similar deals with experienced American explorers.
