Locals get APLNG booster

DARWIN-based client and technical management company Regional Asset Maintenance (RAM) Services has been awarded the facility maintenance services contract at the Curtis Island Australia Pacific LNG site.

Locals get APLNG booster

In collaboration with its partner Gladstone partner Projects Unlimited, RAM Services will support APLNG with a range of services including building maintenance, cleaning, grounds maintenance, HVAC (heating, ventilating and air conditioning) services, electrical services, civil works, fencing, plumbing and carpentry.

RAM Services managing director Greg Haigh said the win was a great opportunity for the company to focus on local development within the contract, engaging with local Gladstone companies to ensure jobs were created locally.

"With several local sub contract agreements already in place, including one with Gladstone Indigenous Business Marion's Cleaning Services, RAM Services and Projects Unlimited look forward to working with the APLNG team to support the Facility operations," Haigh said.

The contract adds to RAM Services' recent resigning of the building and grounds maintenance contract at Darwin LNG and the Darwin waterfront facility maintenance contract, which Haigh said gave the company confidence for the next five years.

"We can now put in place the planning required to grow the business to the next level and roll out our unique contracting model to new regions and sites," he said.

RAM Services is focused on the supply chain management requirements of companies owning and operating large assets in the resources, marine, transport, defence, government and infrastructure industries in Northern Australia.
