"On Tuesday May 5, an electrical incident occurred at the North West Shelf Project's Karratha Gas Plant resulting in a loss of power supply," a Woodside spokesperson said this morning.
"LNG production has been impacted and we are working to resume production. Pipeline gas production is not affected."
Woodside did not provide any guidance on how long the impacts would last, or the scale of the temporary output loss to the 16.3 million tonnes per annum of LNG capacity operation.
Impacts from tropical cyclone Olwyn in March cost the Woodside-operated Pluto LNG operation, near NWS, almost a week of output.
