Woodside discovers

The well has intersected about 150m gross gas and 65m net gas within the Mugaroo Formation target.

The well reached a total depth of 3724m from the rig rotary table.

Following drilling, wireline logging has conducted and confirmed the presence of a gas column through pressure measurements and gas sampling.

The well will be plugged and abandoned as planned.

Toro is in Western Australia's Exmouth sub-basin, within 22km of Woodside's Ragnar-1A discovery.

Woodside is operator and 70% equity owner of WA-430-P.

Mitsui has the remaining 30%.

Woodside executive vice-president global exploration Philip Loader said the successful exploration outcome built Woodside's gas volumes within the Exmouth sub-basin.
