According to the Gladstone Observer, Santos recently recruited 25 people who will be trained to operate the project's LNG plant facilities, which will start exporting next year.
It adds to the more than 110 downstream positions filled over the past 12 months.
"By the time Santos GLNG starts processing gas through its Curtis Island LNG facility, our team will be able and ready," Santos GLNG downstream operations general manager Brenton Hawtin told the newspaper.
"I am confident that these new-starters will help us deliver our first shipments of gas to our buyers, Petronas and Kogas, from 2015."
The GLNG project is targeting 7.8 million tonnes per annum of LNG across two trains.
The GLNG joint venture consists of Santos (30%), Petronas (27.5%), Total (27.5%) and Kogas (15%).
